The mesh metal bezel is WAY too busy. Very distracting for everyday use. They look impressive, but I hope they're fake.

It doesn't look quite right to me. Why whould Apple have fake ventilation-grilles on the screen? I bet it would've look better without all those tiny holes.

Obviously Photoshopped from the accompanying tower beside it. Look closely at the curves, highlights, shadows, etc. You can easily see where pieces were borrowed and re-worked.

On top of that, this display is too self-consciously "like the G5". It looks a bit over the top and "trying too hard". Apple and Ive wouldn't do this. It would be much more subtle. I don't think the holes would even be present because there's no reason to on an LCD. It's a cooling issue on the towers, however.

I'll bet 500 gazillion bazillion dollars (okay, $10...) that this is fake. Nice work, don't get me wrong. But it's nothing more than some clever, detailed Photoshop work.

You heard it here first.

definatly fake...if you look they used the same parts of the G5 to make the monitor

ew...that extra stuff makes it pretty ugly...specially the holes

I would, however, tweak it to a more suitable color. Ahem...

(those of you with ur display at 800x600 ur screwed, everyone else i think will be fine (its only a 60kb picture so quick loading...i hope)

if your wondering what i was going for...the numbers correspond where they got the parts, and other parts that u see on the display i made (i spend 10 min i know they look like s**t but if u spend enough time u can make them look real

the high quality image was taken from www.apple.com/pr blah blah blah

oh yeah they also put a black overlay overtop so their pictures looked darker and different (also their G5 was slightly resized so it looked like a different angle but you couldn't tell)

and i circled the parts i added (as if u couldn't tell)

it does look decent...i'm not quite sure apple makes new backgrounds when they release a new display though

u can assume if the person has enough time to mockup a display they could easily make a background
