Dead Laptop

Hi,

My ti800 refuses to start. (It was working perfectly

last night before I closed it for the night aka to sleep)

Battery is fully charged, but holding down the power button

for any length of time has no effect.

The powerbook will NOT start up at all.



Anyone run into this before & have any idea what could be wrong.

    sounds like a hardware problem... is it under warranty?



    remove the battery and let it sit for 5 min or so.. then plug it in and put the battery back.... then try to power it up... if it works this is only a temporary fix as you should backup what you need and take it to an Apple Store for them to checkout...

    opened the keyboard & hit the reset & that fixed it..

    its less than a year old so if it happens again

    ill drop it off at the local store

    that woulda been my next suggestion if the battery thing didn't work



    you really should make a backup tho before it happens again...

    its the only mac around the house & theres nothing critical

    on it...

    all my regular work is done on linux/bsd/solaris
