I just updated Panther via SU. How do I generate that long log-list that people sometimes post to this forum?

Check the man pages for lsbom, that's the command you use.
The bom file (I think it'll say archive.bom) will likely be somewhere such as Library/Receipts/[Whatever the name of the update is].pkg/contents/

Most useful:
lsbom -s foodebar.bom > ~/foodebar.lsbom
Then, edit the resulting file to eliminate all the uninteresting crud, and save for posterity.

Easiest way is to find the package in Library/receipts/ and select chow package contents. Open a terminal window and change to the directory of the contents of the package. Then just use
lsbom -s archive.bom
