    The new twin-tower Powermac G5!

One tower houses the mobo, PCI slots, video card, and airport.

The other tower houses HDs, opitcal drives, removable media drives. It is chock-full of empty drive bays.

And unlike the WTC twin towers, this Powermac will not collapse under pressure!

I don't wanna sound like a puss... but it's still too fresh for me.

Sorry, people... not trying to be a downer... REALLY... I'm not... just tell me to F-Off if I'm alone on this one.

I'm English, have no known links to anyone involved in the disaster - which I think should be referred to more accurately as a "terrorist atrocity" - and I'm offended by this kind of levity. People are still dying in a theatre of war because a group of misguided zealots commtted an act of mass murder, so as Scott F says "Lay off".

Yes, it is funny. Get a sense of humor.

If we as a nation can have fun at movies with body-counts upwards of 20-30, then I don't see why we can't laugh about the WTC.

And no, I'm not laughing at those who died...I'm laughing at the whole idea of it. It IS funny if you stop to think about it: someone builds the tallest building in the world to prove they have the biggest "whatever", and then they concentrate a bunch of people in it. Then someone gets jealous and topples it over like a spoiled child.

Eh, but then I like black humor, so maybe I'm a freak or something.

Hey if you feel that way then I can respect that. I'll shut up about it already.

But I still think that you're taking it all the wrong way. I'm not laughing about those who died on 9-11, I'm laughing about the big picture surrounding those events. I'm laughing at the corporate leaders of America who were so arrogant and overconfident that they thought nothing like this would ever happen. No way in hell would I laugh about any deaths on 9-11...

JD, the people who perpetrated the atrocity didn't do it to stick it to the arrogant corporate leaders of America, nor did those leaders build the WTC and chortle. "There's no way anyone would ever dare to destroy these symbols of our enormous cojones!"

Office space in NYC is expensive. Manhattan is full- there's no way to build more without going up. That was the intent when the WTC was built.

Occupancy was low throughout the WTC's history- much to the chagrin of the builders, "arrogant corporate leaders" would rather move their companies to a business park in New Jersey than pay a premium to be in a tall building in Manhattan. Contrary to your image of the WTC as a gloating point for "America's Corporate Leaders," it was actually a poorly performing real estate project owned by the Port Authority of New York (whom I assure you are arrogant about nothing).

Rather than serving some sort of karmic justice as you imply, 9/11 represented another battle in a long standing conflict between Western civilization and those who seek to destroy it. The perpetrators of 9/11 would no doubt kill you without a second thought, simply for being a Westerner, regardless of whatever lame-o anti-establishment rhetoric you spout from behind your anonymous screenname.

It's easy to spout simple judgements from the comfort of your fake identity, JD. Thankfully, there are people in this world who are willing and able to lay their lives on the line to carry on the fight, rather than spending all their time wanking off on Internet boards like you do.

You're the joke here, pal, 'cept I ain't laughing.

can we please close this thread and start a new one or at least delet all the posts before this went off topic. obviously JD is still an immature bastard and obviously it wasn't his neighbors and friends that lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
