So Apple owns the "technology" that is AltiVec, Motorola owns the implementation of that technology on silicon? I never knew this.

Motoman on the "old" AI boards stated that the G5 would have 2*16-bit RapidIO busses and 2(I think, might have just been one)*DDR memory controllers. This is where the rumours about it being multi-core came from.
