A great chess game for the Mac??

When will a great chess game come out for the Mac?

I like the chess game on OS X now but I'd like to see something like ChessMaster 9000 where I can look up old classic matches and learn from lessons and all that other good stuff.

What needs to be done to develop this software?

Heck, I'm trying to learn how to program on the Mac, any suggestions on where I can start?

    Three pieces of advice:

    1) check out http://www.realbasic.com/ and ignore anyone who tells you that real programmers don't use RB. C is for people who've either programmed for years or like dick waving. I use both btw.

    2) go to http://www.idevgames.com for advice on game programming.

    3) don't try to write chess as your first program, A.I. is a bitch.

You can get the Chess source code here, if that's any help to you.
