When will we likely see a Superdrive in a Powerbook?

I'd give it until MWSF '03 or MWNY '03.

I would say MWNY this July. It could be one of Steve's surprises and looking back on last years expo and how they trumpeted up the arrival of iDVD 2, Steve may now flaunt iDVD again and rave about it being portable. I can just picture how much RDF he would spread, it almost makes me shutter . I do think a portable DVD editing and movie editing studio would be awesome. Who doesnt? This could be the "one more thing."

I think that part of the problem with this is that there is only one company that make these drives, Pioneer. I do hope that they get their asses in gear and make one for the next PB's but it is a lot to ask of them for such a small market. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
