What is your Mac's name?

Strange question, but I know that a lot of mac users name their macs. My beige G3's name is Colonel Panic (although ironically I've never experience one in my life), and I'm thinking of naming my soon to come G5 1.8 Tima, the robot in Lang's Metropolis.

I know that the number of people that think I have a life has dropped to zero now that I've posted this, but there you go.

My brothers G4 is named lucy after Hackers.

I can't, but decided, I might call it Steph so that I can say things like "I'm going to go get on steph." She is a friend of mine and we decided it would be pretty funny. I still might change it, but I have a month or two to decide it would seem with the delay of PBooks shipping. Maybe I get a G5 like I originally planned.\

I'm afraid security issues prevent me from revealing that information.

    minnie.

It's a mini-pb, after all. Brad suggested it when I posted a pic of her new and there was a Mickey Mouse piggy bank in the background of the pic.

My old iBook 500 was pearly* after the radiohead song. My iPod is still called pearly* pod.

    WacMac!

When I was young my family had a wacked out SE/30 that had to have the hard drive replaced. Ever since then, I've named every comuter I've owned WacMac. Even with the trouble. that SE/30 was a heck of a computer in its day.

You name every computer the same thing? Do you plan to do the same with your kids?

I plan to do the same thing, but with a number affixed to the end, like duplicates in the Finder.

So I guess you'll go with a unisex name like Kacey or Pat?

*snicker* eMac spelled backwards is "came!"

I used to call mine? "Big Mac." If I had a PowerBook, I'd name it "The Good Book."

    See my sig

Rendezvous is one of my many nicknames, and I passed it along. And I named it that before the advent of the network tech.

Or maybe I should name my G5 FleetCom...or maybe Hal. But Tima seems better because Tima is a creature of beauty and intellect, not evil. Or until the end, at least.

    Former TiBook: Max

    PowerMac: Maximus

    iPod: Melody

Granted, I don't actually address computers by their "names", this is purely for fun and network recognition purposes. "Eric's Powerbook" is just so boring.
