What I've always wanted. You can use it in the case. The case is hard. Looks cool. And YES! I e-mailed the company, they emailed back immediately saying there are 12" models on the way! $199. Steep but worth it. I was also wondering if a waterproof model would be feasible. nice, but probably too expensive. Very personal response from the CEO. I think he was joking but he asked to employ me. The website is a bit sparse. I assume it's under construction.

I can't tell if I like them or not...a big high quality res picture would do the trick. Eiher way, a company without a quality website does make me wonder. At least they have a sense of humor:

?Works Greate for self defense (haha...smacking somone with one of these thigns would leave a bruise it looks like)

Certainly it looks very technically strong and workable, but man does it need work on the design! It's butt ugly...and when will manufacturers learn that if you have a crappola logo, don't emblazon it across your product in a 60pt. font size!

I don't like how there's no room for the power supply or any accessories. I have one of the Vangaurd cases for my 15"PB, I love it.

Yes it is ugly but functional. Perhaps version 2.0 will have soft exterior, nicer logo, and look nicer in general. The site is temporary most likely, they are just trying to get up and running filling a niche which needs to be filled. I have asked over and over but apparently there are no laptop cases that you can use the laptop in with a 12" PBG4 except this one.

No matter how functional, there is no way I would get one with that damn advertising on the front of it -- they are really messing up with the giant logo.

I rather like the case. It reminds me of the nondescript utilitarian cases that are used to carry small arms (i.e. weapons), or the nuclear football (obviously the shiny blue case would be inappropriate for holding the football, even though it would help some people find the football once forgotten). This case just screams that there is something really deadly inside- the perfect case for a new 15 inch Al book.

That (the logo), and bare metal would be so much nicer than glossy red or whatever...

even if it's a cool logo/name, I don't want to ADVERTISE for anyone. The same reason I wouldn't buy a $20k + car and allow the dealer to put their tacky little dealer name sticker on the rear trunk.

That logo is a fricking billboard.

Ugly. Huge, nasty logo. Amatuer website.

You all wear Gap shirts I'm sure. But that aside, as long as the logo is less ugly and smaller it's fine with me. Yevgeny you're so right. Did you ever see that MacAddict where they reviewed a case that looked like something you'd smuggle diamonds in? Bright white metal, the classic drug box or diamonds or weapons box. Like what James Bond carried the diamonds in in Die Another Day I believe. Eeeexcellent. I just hope security guards don't stop me...

There's very few logos I can stand. Obviously, Apple's logo is one of them.

I actually just bought a Panasonic MP3 discman, and used trusty ol' nailpolish remover to remove all logos and extraneous info from the discman and remote. I also removed Logitech's logo from my aluminum portable optical mouse using the same technique.

As you can tell, I'm anally retentive.

ps: Virtually none of my clothes have visible logos on them.

I like my Brenthaven Bag that Apple & CompUSA sell. I got the Professional 12 Shoulder Case for my 12" PB, $149. It costs more but has a lifetime warranty and is padded pretty good. If so much as a thread comes out they'll send you a new one.

It doesn't look like you could use those cases on you lap. There appears to be only one hinge on the back, the top of the case is a single bent sheet of aluminum. If you had it on your lap I think the top would have a tendancy to tilt up, that'd be pretty annoying.

If they double-hinged the back the top could fold under the case, and it's put the PB on a nice wedge. The inside of the top could have a grippy surface to keep it from sliding off your legs. Someone makes a soft case like this, but it'd be sweet if it was aluminum like these.
