File Sharing

Hi there,

I'd like to know what the best programme to use for file sharing is for the mac.

I'm aware that Kazaa is not mac friendly and I'm currently using Limewire.

This is okay but the selection of music and movies is limited.

Where can I down load films etc that are availble and mac compatible?

Also, how can I play .avi files on my mac - quicktime wont support them but there must be a way!!

Thanks

P..

You need to look around the forums some more.

First of all I presume you use filesharing for legal purpouses.

Go to www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com and get the following programs:

Poisoned (is kazaa compatible, quite fast and stable)

MPlayer OSX (plays almost any format without installing aditional codecs: divx, xvid...)

    Bouth are Freeware.

Installation is easy. To start sharing just open poisoned and connect.

Don't ask, don't tell is the policy around here. Sorry, you won't be able to get help on this one. Just poke around and you'll find something.

Look around for a program called VLC. It should do the trick.
