Airport network, but no internet!???
I just got a new 12" Powerbook G4, and I installed an Airport Extreme card to connect to my 802.11b wireless router. I have another (older G3) Powerbook already connected to the wireless network with no issues...
After installing the Airport card in the new PB, I can see/browse my local network, but I am UNABLE to connect to the internet...As soon as I plug it in hardline/ethernet I'm off and away on the WWW. Any ideas why my airport card would allow a local connection but not a connection to the internet? I'd blame my Linksys router, but again, it works fine with my other Powerbook...
Help, Please!
PS> I have checked internet connection to ensure that the Airport connection is selected. I've confirmed that I have an IP and am able to to browse my local network wirelessly, and I have checked the settings in Internet Explorer to ensure that there is no false proxy setting etc...

Try pinging 216.239.51.100 (google's address) from within terminal.app:
ping 216.239.51.100
(hit control-c to quit pinging)
and tell us the result.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming: Powerbook update discussions/debates.

I have no idea why it is misbehaving. My educated guess is that the problem stems from some sort of nameserver issues.
