Well, our Notts Apple retail guy said mid Oct' for the 2nd wave of 'stock' machines. No dual 2 gigger until then. And that's the shops left with a crummy 1.6 model!
My dual G5 shipped today, 9/20. I ordered on 6/26 and made several changes to the order since then, mostly deleting extra memory, extra disks, and extra interfaces, but kept the Radeon 9800 and Airport.
