the Best MSN compatible IM program

I don't like MSN, but I have a handful of stubborn friends who won't switch to AIM.



I would much rather use iChat for all my IM'ing, mainly because it's interface and UI is very unobtrusive, and it is a good program all around, fast, easy to use, stable..etc.



MSN is not, it has a bulky interface, it isn't fast, when I type it lags, it crashes.



there are a couple of multi client IM programs, I know of these, which one has the best UI, and is the most stable?

    FIRE seems to be one of the most popular but personally I have'nt been able to get much use out of it (a little buggy).

    MSN sucks so bad...it always disconnects me or never connects. If it werent for me sweatin this puerto rican girl I wouldnt be on it ever..

    Anyone know what (if any) clients will remain connected after the 15th? I know the latest GAIM will, but Fink only has an old version.
