Nothing like bandwaggoner battery chuckers....

By the way, what are "SoCal Giants Fans"? do they throw batteries like they do up north? waaaahhhh waahhhhhh waahhhhh Bye bye Giants

Guess what, the beachballs came out at the Marlins games too, and only at opportune moments as well.

And no, Giants fans up here are generally very well behaved, unlike Dodger fans. Don't even try to compare the two groups. Don't be a fool. SoCal Giants fans would be equivalent to SoCal Raiders fans. You know the ones that throw beer bottles at the Chargers?

I have no ill comments toward the Dodgers themselves, only the fans like you who are either hostile or in denial.

Sorry, can't cheer for either of the cursed teams left in the hunt.

In this order, I'm cheering for:

    1) Atlanta (after pitching the game of his life in game 6 last year, Russ Ortiz got nothing to show for it)

    2) Oakland (good young team, local, down to earth guys)

    3) Florida (young team, manager has been through a lot, left for dead after the first month of play)

    4) Minnesota (Another small-market team who humped up to pull away from the Royals and White Sox)

Yeah, if well behaved means getting wasted and throwing batteries at the players and yelling obscenities even with families around. Get a clue. Try going to the ballpark sometime. You may learn something.

By the way, what opportune times? Enlighten us as to how the run of play was interrupted or affected in any way by beach balls.... you are obviously a new giants fan *cough*bandwaggon*cough*

Comparing raiders fans to dodgers fans is both ignorant and ridiculous....of course if you had any clue about what you were talking about(baseball in this case)you would know that LA fans are teased as being the most laid back. Nice try...keep reading and learn.

Anyone watching the Red Sox game? The officiating is horrible.

Not it isn't...might want to give Eugene the same recommendations. I remember when not too long ago you were adviced the same things Applenut. I'm glad you've become a moderator now.

    1- I can do that

2- Care to tell me where I'm wrong? beach balls affecting play? Bonds posting lame numbers in yet another post season ? dodger fans being worse than giants fans? (if so you need to do some research).

3-I can do that too. I had never spent so much time on a message board until lately. I was always of the opinion that people with thousands of posts needed a boost in the "life" department. Look at me now.

4-You're right on this one. Guilty.

Strike zone wise or "close" calls?

Hello? It interrupts the game, while also forcing the players to walk over and grab the beachballs. That's what Grissom had to do yesterday in Game 3 because nobody on the grounds crew at Pro Player's stadium went to grab the ball themselves.

Try going to the ballpark sometime? I find time to go to at least 20 games a year, which isn't a whole lot, but still pretty good. Last games I went to were Game 1 of the NLDS, the division clinching game against the Padres and the first two games of the four game sweep against the Braves.

And comparing certain Raiders fans to Dodgers fans isn't ridiculous because they're the same people. The same people that sit in the endzones at Chargers/Raiders games sit in the bleachers at the Ravine. Those are the same type of people that invaded Anaheim last year and hit Reggie Sanders on the back with their thundersticks in last years World Series while he tried to field a ball.

Just like how you researched the story about the fan that was shot and killed, right?

More like the fact that they don't know the rules.

The fact that they let the Oakland runner who missed the plate shove Varitek and let the runners advance was what set up the call they won't stop talking about (where they did not call interference).

Then I got the wrong impression from the NLDS Game 1. Tough crowd. Worst ever, I'd dare to say.

Where were you sitting? I was in 144, Row 5 (right-center field). We heckled Dontrelle before the game since he was fielding balls during BP, but other than that nothing even happened. Heck, I only saw ONE group of Marlins fans in the entire section.

Just about the most dangerous thing about sitting in the bleachers is getting pecked by Chicken Man, who normally sits in the left field bleacher section.

Wow, those bleacher section fans look so scary... Buncha gray haired hooligans in polos, families and couples. The thing about Pac Bell Park is that it only holds 42,000, and they nearly sell every seat to season ticket holders. There were only 1000 tickets sold online and at the ticket window for each home game of the NLCS. There were only going to be 500 seats available for each possible WS game. It doesn't get a whole lot of thug fans, and when they do show up, they're far to scattered to amount to anything. You watch a typical Giants game, and you'll see security escort lots of people out, even fans that interfere with the game by trying to catch balls that might not make it over the fence or balls that huge the line and run up against the seats.

Timlin's performance tonight highlights what an incredibly boneheaded move it was for Grady to use him for only one inning in that first game. Of course, that's Grady's specialty - boneheaded moves.

It's just one game. They need to win again tomorrow. They're still in it, though.
