You have found one of Lucida's design chain players. That's really all I can say.

Recap for July or when I get fired:

    Lucida

    -all enclosed digital still/video camera/camcorder

    -details in other posts

    Other Lucidas

    -one has 802.11g

    Glove

-one size fits all Mac OS X license for an entire entity

    -details in other posts

    Wolf

-very smart tcp/ip based clustering package

    -details in other posts

    Presley

-two click mouse with no buttons.

    -details in other posts

    (no code name known)

    -a new type of PDA

    David's Stone

-has been associated with many projects

-known to be the big one.

If I was a betting man, which of course I am, Glove will appear along with Jagwire launch. Lucida will be introduced for this year's holiday season. Wolf for a Xserve package this year. Presley, like yesterday. The PDA and David's Stone, don't know.

I might be back before NY show. I'm also very surprised nobody has posted the picture yet.

No one has posted the pic because it doesn't exist.

Unless the camera is dirt cheep I don't want it. If it only records in mpeg4 the quality will not be near a digital camcorder. Who would pay 400 dollars for an anolog quality camcorder. I wold like a 5 gig hard drive and the ability to record in mpeg2. This way you could atleast an hour of high quality video.

I also beleive that there will be something to the effect of "wolf". There are 3 macs in my house between laptops and desktops, but not everyone does heavy graphics work. If jaguar took advantage of the mach kernel and allows computers to easliy batch process that would be great. This would also tie in well with Rendezvous. You wouldn't have to deal with IPs computers would automaticly find each other and could be added to the batch.

No one has seen the picture... I do not think any one received it via ftp. If you are talking about that round thingamajiggy, that was laughed off the boards...

    David's Stone = kills Goliath.

Lucida is one of the very few things mentioned on these boards that I believe. Most the rumors are so flamboyant, it's sick. This is reasonable though. A digicam/camcorder fits in perfectly with the digital hub. It could compliment iPhoto and iMovie. A double whammy. I'm not sure whether Allenmcjones is a fraud or not. His posts seem very well thought out and articulated, but it could be because he is trying to sound legit. We'll find out next week.

On the sublect of lucida, I thought I'd throw these into the mix. These are pictures that Macrumors had posted the other day. I'm not sure if the product shot is real or not, but it's certain that whatever is released at NY, there will be a video to go with it (The pict with Phil has him infront of a new background.)

Lucida or no Lucida, that photo is something big / interesting.

They don't just make those for old products... and I know I have not seen anything like that one (the bg behind Phil is a big give away as to it being new / unseen (atleast by me, heh...))

I really don't believe Apple will go with a digital stills camera again (remember the QuickTake - I've still got one), and a video camera seems too far out of their mainstream market (ie lots of investment in something that other people can do just as well, if not better).

    First there is this website.

    <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/eadamson/PhotoAlbum2.html"; target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/eadamson/PhotoAlbum2.html</a>;

    The photo is not real

Most important: I am wondering if it is possible to record mpeg4 at mpeg2 quality if you are not concerned about storage. If you can record mpeg4 at mpeg2 quality this chip still is not the right one because it records at (352 x 288). That is not something that you would want to edit in iMovie and show to your family. You could use it as webcame but thats about it.

Uh, you were the one who claimed would post a picture of it if someone set up an open server to host it. They did. You then left them high and dry as the weeks went by with no picture to be found, the server got abused and his provider cut him off. Where's your frelling proof?

It's amazing what you can do in Photoshop. I think I know a lot about computers until I see some of the stuff people are doing.

It's amazing how stupid and naive people are. I thought I had seen it all, stupid, moronic, clueless, braindead and then I come to AI message boards and see what people are posting.
