I've been pondering over which OS offers the most number of "emulators" of other os's... OS-X or XP...?

I think its neck & neck..but I could be wrong..

For a fairly complete list of emulators on the Mac, check out www.emulation.net.

There is a LOT out there.

Is that native emulation only or is emulation runnning in an emulated environment (and so on...) allowed?

No limits...this is where OS-X should be better than XP.

Can XP run Windows 95. Windows 3.1 etc directly under its hood.... ?

Since OSX can run Windows, and Windows can run VMWare. OSX can emulate everything windows can.. but Windows can't emulate OSX so OSX wins.
