Panther: Restore feature of Disk Utility

I'm curious to learn more about the "Resore" feature of Disk Utility. Has anyone used it yet...experiences? How well does it work? How exactly does it work?

    I saw that in the Install Disk when repairing permissions but didn't investigate it. Curious myself given that it says I'm running Journaled.



    Edit: and most of the Knowledge Base articles are missing for Panther...
