Mail App in Panther: What kind of jet is that?

When the email gets sent a jet goes from right to left. Can it be turned off or changed?

    Mail : Preferences : General



    tick box for "Play sounds for other mail actions"

    New Mail sound can be changed, but no option for altering the Sent Sound



    Jet sound must be embedded in the Mail package... no .aif files except the defaults show in search

    You can't change the mail sent audio file through the Mail.app GUI.



    However you can change it if in the Finder, you select SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS. Go to the RESOURCES directory. In there is a file called "Mail Sent.aiff"



    If you replace that with another aiff file you will be groovy.
