nagging prompt in iTunes Music Store

I am pretty sure this is new behavior in iTunes as I've never noticed before: about every 10 songs that I sample, I get a nagging dialog asking me to "sign up to buy music on the iTunes Music Store."

I'd understand Apple's need to have some compensation for my use of their download infrastructure for the sampling, but I was also under the impression that one of the key advantages of iTMS is that, unlike Napster 2.0, you don't have to register to be able to browse their catalog.

Anybody else experiencing this? Has it always been there? DId I just miss it? I have iTunes 4.1 (Mac).

I got that too. I've clicked through about 30 of them now. I like listening to the previews. \
