iMac Superdrive update in Panther

The "iMac SuperDrive Update 1.0" always showed up in Software Update window even when it is not required. When I clicked to install it, it downloaded successfully but failed to install with the message "Your computer does not need this update." What would be the problem? How can I get rid of the "Superdrive update" entry in Software Update?

The configuration is

iMac 15" LCD

800MHz G4

SuperDrive

I had the exact same problem with the exact same configuration.

If you select the update and go into the menus you can deactivate downloads that don't apply to you or you don't care about.

I'd tell you the exact menu name but I'm currently using the French language for the OS so on my system it's Mettre Ã* Jour -> Ignorer le mis Ã* jour

I had the exact same problem with the exact same configuration, too.

In the German Mac OS X, the menu command is: "Update ignorieren" ;-)
