That bloke that does the voice overs for movie trailors? Is it the same bloke? I ask cos i was watching a vid (Pathfinder) from 1990 and its the same geezer in todays cinemas/vids. If you dont know what im on about its the bloke that goes "It was a time for war!" "It was a time of love" etc in that really wierd voice.

He's in the trailer for the Jerry Seinfeld movie that came out last year... it's hysterical.

I've had the pleasure of working with Don La several times.

He's pretty much been the King of VO's since Ernie Anderson died in 1997.

Ernie had a great voice ("The Love Boat" - remember that?) and I've heard that his son Paul Thomas Anderson is making a film about his Dad's life.

That should be interesting since Ernie was, err, "colorful" to say the least.

Whenever I have a major happening in my life, I recap/anticipate it as a cheesy movie preview in my head with his voice:

"His last promotion was 10 years ago-this time it's personal!"

"It is a time for foreplay"

"I am a man that wants sex"

I dont think thats Don La Fontaine in the Seinfeld trailer. Looks like some other guy.

It isn't. It doesn't sound like Don, and if anyone actually payed attention, you hear them say his first name twice.

It's some other thunderthroat. It's a pretty crowded business, though LaFontaine gets the lion's share of the work.
