Can read certain CD-R's on PC but not Mac

Hello,



Is there a reason why certain CD-R's can be read on a Pc but not in a mac?

For example, someone gave me a CD-R that had jpg's on it and I can readthe CD on my Dell PC but when I put it in my Ti Book nothing happens. It sounds like it can't read the CD.



Any idears??

    they used something like Easy CD which allows you to "format" the cd. then you can read/write to it like a disk (supposedly) but it's really just playing fun tricks with the WinOS.



    i've come across those cd's fairly often, and they have issues either across software packages or across OS'es. (like try it on a win98 machine if you have one handy, see if it works)
