I know it's from Shawshank, but I didn't know Dylan said it too. Leave it to Bob. He's an amazing guy.

Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn

    Suicide remarks are torn

    From the fool's gold mouthpiece

The hollow horn plays wasted words

    Proves to warn

That he not busy being born

    Is busy dying.

Do i detect thinly vieled blame in that post . . . or is it in the saying itself

perhaps the Tao is not infallible?! and perhaps Nietszche is right . . . even Eastern religions are religions of ressentement . . . much more mature than the West's religions but still vieled denial of Life?!?!?

    However,..

I'm not sure we can build a logical argument here. Eastern religions are religions of resentment. Western religions are religions of resentment. And one can certainly describe Nietszche's writings as a "religion of resentment". So where does that leave us? You also describe these philosophies as veiled denials of Life. That of course would depend on your definition of Life is. And I don't know of anyone that has yet came up with a satisfactory answer to that one. But maybe you have?

Btw, did I mention how much I really enjoy reading your posts. Keep em coming..
