I know this is the wrong forum, but I won't be able to participate once this is moved to AppleOutsider...so let me contribute my five before the sure-to-come lock/transfer...

    1. Raising Arizona

    2. Dumb and Dumber (I know, I know...)

    3. Blazing Saddles ("more beans, Mr. Taggert?"

    4. Friday (I think that's the title...with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker?)

    5. Caddyshack (has Dangerfield ever been funnier? I think not)

All five can STILL make me cackle out loud, no matter how many times I've seen - or will see - them.

    Good stuff.

    Carry on...

I'm going to request to the mods that this thread be left here in Future Hardware just so the exiles can have a little piece of AppleOutsider.

But just to keep this FH-oriented, my funniest movies are on this page:

    Here.

Declined. The exiles presumably knew what they were giving up when they left.

I think it's funny how many people have listed Blazing Saddles but nobody is willing to quote the hands down funniest line in the movie. So, allow me:

"Mornin', ma'am. And isn't it a lovely mornin'?"

    "Up yours nigger!"

That was one of the best executed lines EVER in a comedy.

So many funny movies! I'll have a repeat a few that have already been posted.

The Big Lebowski ? "Careful man, there's a beverage here!"

Dr. Strangelove or: How Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb ? "Fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous Communist plot we have ever had to face."

Duck Soup ? "We're fighting for this woman's honour, which is more than she ever did."

Ghostbusters ? "I feel like the floor of a taxi cab."

Monty Python and the Holy Grail ? "On second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place."

Tommy Boy and Blues Brothers .... I just never seem to get tired of those two.

Then I'll add Airplane, Animal House and Blazing Saddles.

...and it was really difficult leaving Caddyshack off the list... but you said only 5 !

And seeing how everyone seems to be picking from the same 10-12 movies, we must really be on to something here !!
