When I fast user switch in Panther, it just switches screens. It doesn't have the nice box roll over effect like, in the WWDC keynote. Is there something I'm missing here to turn on that cool looking effect?

you need a quartz extreme capeable graphics card installed, so an AGP graphics geforce or radeon, at least 2x agp
or if you have a tower with pci graphics then you need a radeon in there with the pci hack enabled to push QE onto the pci bus

I'm on a iMac 600Mhz G3 right now. I have a 16MB 2x video board. I've always thought that I would've had QE cause of the 16MB minimum. Am i wrong?

Sorry, all CRT iMacs have ATI Rage graphics, which cannot support QE.

You have a Rage 128 graphics card, you need a Radeon or better card for QE. Sorry

Yeah, we've heard, it's like a dual GHz G4.
