Which Ram for 1.3 17" pb?

Okay so I'm asking for ram for Christmas, but telling my parents what I want I need to be very very specific. I'm running around internet looking at the 512k stick upgrades and the 1gb stick upgrades, the 1gb being quite a bit more money. Is it worth it to wait a few months for price on the 1gb sticks to come down? Or get the 512 now. Yes I know it's for x-mas, but there is still a budget to be considered on this. Also, any partiuclar brand better than another? Thanks.

    I have the 1.33 17" powerbook. I bought my other 512 stick from crucial cause there name brand and im new to mac, so doing what i know will work for sure. So im running on 1 gig ram now. No problems, and its only like 120 shipped to your door step. Mine was like 130 cause price was bit higher a month ago.
