Read all at newcomer irumor.

What do you think? True or not? Who knows with rumours?

I'll bite.

Apple and Moto' to split?

I wouldn't have thought so for the immediate future. ie we'll get 7470s in the next 'power'Mac I'm sure

As for Januar? If the 7500 has been removed from the Moto' website. It means: Apple and Moto' have worked on it together and Apple want Moto' to keep shut mouth on it. Or...Apple canned it...and canned Moto in the process following the G4 500mhz for ages fiasco.

Legendary non-quote from Steve Jobs: 'It'll be great in two years time when we won't be using you anymore.'

I'd a thought we'd get the 7500 on Rio before...

Apple go to IBM for the 'true' 64 bit successor to the G4. ie Real X Mac 'G5' type thing.

As for Dual 1 gig iMacs. Well, the LCD iMac top end...aint cheap. It's a cool machine though. Imagine it with 19 inch ('Can't be done'...yeah...yeah... ) with dual 1 gig processors on 133 bus? Yes please. With Radeon 9000?

Yes. Please.

Food for thought.

I welcome newcomer irumours...

In their little segment about now till 03', they mention that the powerbooks will get boosted to 900mhz or above. Now correct me if im wrong, but wouldnt apple have to go to 933mhz as a result of the 133mhz system bus in the TiBook?

I dunno about this site. Seems like anoth MOSR to me. Just some guy posting his predictions. (which happen to be common sense for the most part. imac goes to 1ghz next year. wow, he really DOES have inside info. )

They should call it the X processor.

With an exponent for your number of cores.

    I've got an X^4 !!!

Oh yeah well I just got the X11...

    let the confusion begin....

It's problematic that in one breath this site talks about processor uncertainty and then in another it confidently forecasts the debut of, among other things, the G5. Highly dubious.

    I don't buy it.

I think if Apple and Motorola's relationship was really in such a precarious predicament, Mot would have given us some backhanded clues. The fact that they remain so tight-lipped about their future products means that they still afford Apple (and others, but mainly Apple) a great deal of professional courtesy.

I don't know whether this is a contractual obligation or whatever, but Apple still buy a shedload of their microprocessors and I really don't think that their alliance is is danger (even if Apple has axed their version of the next-gen PPC).

I locked a topic on this exact same website this morning and am considering doing the same right now.

Just a note: This morning, they didn't even spell 'Motorola' right. Either someone pointed this out to the person running the site, or the person running the site posts here and noticed it.

Either way, using AI as a way to generate clicks for your website (which features annoying pop-ups) is not acceptable.
