if you look closely... not all of these items can be added to your "cart" to be purchased... only ones with a checkbox are in-stock and ready to be shipped...
they just set standard prices for refurb equipment...
edit: oh and those prices HAVE come down some... they are cheaper then the edu discount in a lot of cases... one notable example is the 17" Al Book for $2500!!!!! (its in stock)

Hmm... But I don't think I've ever seen Apple merely list a refurb item before without an "add to cart" option. I wonder what's going on here. Setting up to clean house before MWSF?

I dono, I noticed it sometime this week... it might have been before x-mass but I'm not sure.
When I first saw it I was at my school's Apple store and I thought there was an additional edu discount on top of the refurb prices... but when I went to the regular store I saw that that was not the case...
also a few things have sold out recently... there used to be a couple of APE and AP cards in stock in addition to some refurbed iPods... I think they are all gone now...
