    Yeah. Where does that come from? The danish translation of the word "member" (meaning part of an organisation) is "medlem" which, when translated directly, means "with penis". So I could understand with the danish word but not the english

    Hmm. Funny because thats almost the same with medlem. "Med" (with) "lem" (usual penis but also arms or legs). Good explanation actually.

    I bet it has the same root as the word "membrane." That's fascinating about schmuck=shaft and putz=head. Never heard that before.
