I've written the myTunes guy many times without response. There used to be iTunesdl but you need to know someone's IP and whatever, it's basically useless. Ironic that I need to use my roommate's PC for such things.
If you knew how f ucking poor some people are you probably wouldn't say that.
So listen to the streams then. It's not like music is a necessity like food or water. And you can still listen to the music. You just can't copy it. Don't come in here playing the poor card as a justification for blatantly stealing something (or complaining about NOT being able to do it as easily as someone else).
hey stevecongrui why don't you whip out an old copy of the Entertainer and learn it? When I want to hear some good music, be it Lord of the Rings music or Mozart, I pull out some music and learn it on piano. And yes you still can listen over the network, I didn't realize the POWER of this until I tapped in to my roommate's MASSIVE reserve of music which would take forever to copy and which he doesn't really want me to anyway, he's actually an honest person. Lol, we have some good debates some times. Mac vs PC, stealing music, politics (he's green party), what the best Photoshop Phriday on somethingawful is or hte best tales of the blode on rathergood.com, etc etc.
I'm not so poor as I don't have enough money to eat but I could never afford the music I NEED to listen to to become a better musician.
And NO, just playing it myself is not enough because I have to study the performance of several different pianists or musicians to understand their interpretational differences.
And plus, you expect me to learn a whole piano concerto or a violin sonata when I don't have an orchestra or a violin?
If I can't afford the music, does that mean my potential to be a musician should be destroyed?
This is not about listening to music purely for entertainment. It's something I NEED to do if I pursue music seriously.

I want to be a graphic artist. I can't afford to buy FCP, Photoshop or a G5. What should I do?
If you knew how f ucking poor some people are you probably wouldn't say that.
If you want to steal music, how about you go into a store and try some good old fashioned shoplifting instead? That way you'll have the physical media too!
Get over yourself.
It's illegal. That's why there isn't good software for it on the Mac. Maybe Mac users in general are a more sophisticated, respectable bunch. There's such a wider user base for Windows, you're sure to get some seedier folks there that don't care about the law.
Comments
my roommate with his pc is saying pcs are better even for music because he's got mytunes and I don't
wtf guys.
iTunesdl doesn't even f ucking work with iTunes 4.1. So even if I had their ip it still does me no good.
guys, is writing something like mytunes so difficult or do we just have shitty developers for the mac platform?
getTunes

this is ****ing annoying. if you think "****ing poor" is not affording music than you have serious problems.
