Ok. Anybody checking in today must have some photos they've taken of the floor of Moscone Center. Care to post pics of the mysterious boxes and black drapes? Thanks.

I didn't see much out, no guards or anything, and I forgot my digital camera. I did, however, find this man sneaking around with one:

Nice pic. Is it me or does this guy just not photograph/videotape well? I think old Stevie B. needs to visit Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon for a little work.

Indeed, illustrative pic. A haircut could also be a good idea. Did you also spot some geeky (Harry Potter) type with glasses?

Thanks for moving to GD where it belongs.

Here's a photo of entrance to Moscone:

And here are some more outside photos.

Looking at those photos I noticed one thing was missing.

The black covered banners like this one

Might be a bad sign for things to come.

I don't believe any of the photos were really inside the Moscone center. Only looking in from the outside so I woudn't worry. No Macworld has ever not had some kind of hardware introduction I believe. This looks more and more like a predominately software show... as has been mentioned on many a site. Think positive.

IIRC, that's the corridor leading east from the main entrance toward the ballroom where the keynote is actually held. The "black banner" area would be over the show floor which is not shown. No need for alarm.

One of the Sunday pictures shows a covered banner over an escalator. Thanks, macsrgood4u!

Actually the one I attended in 2000 (the OS X unveiling) had no hardware announcements.

Just my luck...I manage to make it to ONE Macworld Expo and the only hardware I get to look at for three days is the same shit I'd seen at CompUSA and Fry's for months (G4s, iMac DV, etc.).

It was still a wonderful time...

Dude, I had the exact same experience except I couldn't even get into the keynote despite holding a ticket and lining up at 6:30 AM. They stuck me in a hotel conference room down the street where I watched it on a big screen with all the other overflow dorks.

MacMinute has posted a small gallery with a tell-tale black shrouded banner...

Oh, in case the Acura exhibit confuses anybody...they are heavily pushing the fact that they have bluetooth in their cars for hands-free phone operation and all that.

So the unveiling of the world's best OS wasn't enough for you I wish I could go! My girlfriend is going to visit her sister tomorrow in LA, I wanted to go with her...just so I could hitch-hike to SF to see the Stevenote.
