They better up the limit on iTunes Libraries. Last I heard they peter out at 30000 for no apparent reason. I think this guy has hit the ceiling (with albums and such), and if they want the money to keep coming in, they better up the ante.

Someone in the audience screamed that out. Steve said, "It's not Bill Gates". Then he laughed. You know what that means? Our favorite Monkey Boy got all the songs

That's insane. Who throws around that kind of cash to buy useless crap? Oh. It must be a U.S. Government account.

    Read this article/interview.

    A Microsoft-Friendlier Macworld

"A REAL WARMTH."_ And what about Jobs's own feelings for Gates? They've mellowed as well. He talked to the Microsoft honcho last summer, he says, but they're both too busy with kids to stay in touch more often. When Apple (AAPL ) unveiled a version of its iTunes music player to work with Windows last fall, Jobs sent Gates a $200 gift certificate to try it out.

"I'd set him up with a monthly allowance, but he doesn't need it," Jobs joked in an interview with BusinessWeek at the time. He never heard back from Gates, but there's no hard feelings.

hehe.. Steve.. please hook me up with the monthly allowance.

Clearly I missed something not watching the keynote.

What would one do with 30,000 songs? It would take forever to listen to them all.

maybe some person bought 10k copies of their 3 favorite songs, so they could put them up on kazaa or gnutella, and not have to worry about the riaa. ("you illegally redistributed this song." "no i didn't. i own 10 thousand legitimate licenses. here's my bank statement.")

Because 90,000 minutes or 2 months is FOREVER. I can listen to 1500 hours worth of songs in a couple years, especially if I have an ipod I am constantly listening to.
