Can any decent PC graphics cards be used on a G4 933mhz Quicksilver - what differences are there and why is there such a difference in price? Please help!

Some PC card may be used in Mac. These cards, are the cards who both existed for the MAC and the PC (same specifications). The other point is to have a bios with enough memory. Generally a mac bios is wider than his pc counterpart.

After this you have to flash the video card to change his bios.

Now i never tried it personnaly. It's possible but not so easy.

Well I don't have that sort of cash - my friends are always buying 128md DDR cards for £50 -£100 whan the Mac equivalent is more like £300

The options available are a GeForce 2 MX (which is a bit old know, but is cheap and will let you use Quartz Extreme) and a GeForce 3 (not the Ti model). More recent cards would probably be a waste, and you can't use PC Radeons.
