just got back from vegas...
easy money, easy women, free alcohol, great shows. what's not to love?
my first trip there, and end up only $240 up--oh well...next time i'll go longer than 2 days. caught jay leno in standup--pretty good. michael israel was a pretty good intro as well. too bad i couldnt make lewis black, but already bought the leno tickets. next time, i'm sure...
all in all a very solid trip. was offered hookers, drugs, and hit on by a gay guy. and i decided that old white women are my good luck charms--wherever they are, i seem to win. actually, i won pretty much everywhere, so maybe not just old white women...
i also reinforced the opinion that sleep deprivation is a cheaper alternative to alcohol for the same effects.
didnt get a chance to see the tigers or dolphins (even though they were at my hotel) or the bellagio fountain, among other things. it's the damn gambling...i couldnt not gamble in any free time.
oh, and the food was incredible. top notch, even though more than a tad pricey--but then again, what isn't pricey in vegas?
only negative i found to the trip was the damn smoking. everything i brought smells rancid now. in two days i've accumulated 20 years worth of second hand smoke. bah...

"offered" by the casino or "propositioned" by a street worker.
And yes, those damn old ladies hogging the rows of dollar slots always seem to be up!

blackjack, of course. only game where the house isnt overly favored. if you play it right, it is about even, and you can even have an advantage.
i wasted about 5 bucks in slots too...just to say i did...

cabbie, actually. it's amazing how diverse those cabbies are. during the stay, i had cabbies who represented just about every ethnicity i can think of.
