I had no idea that .Mac was fast enough to stream video . . . was the compression scheme that you used buit in to iMovie, if not what compression was it?
(I am embarassed to say that even though I teach Video Art production i work in Final Cut Pro and have never made anything in iMovie )

I exported as Mpeg4 the file was roughly 15.8meg. All from iMovie
