ya.. i was perusing cnn, and came across this article about the RIAA. read down to the very end, and it says that industy officials say there were 30 million legal downloads in 2003. hasnt itunes sold that much alone? check it out.

    Next time don't title your thread "CNN: iTMS has 100% market share" since CNN made no such claim.

    for some reason i had 30 milion stuck in my head... maybe that was the 30% market share of mp3 players..

    Actually, Apple had sold 30 million songs as of January 6th. At a clip rate of 2M songs per week, that meant about 28M last year.



    I think CNN just took Apple's numbers rather than actual sales from Soundscan, etc.
