How to create a screensaver?

I'm interested in creating a screensaver. I have an iMovie project that I'd like to turn into a looping screensaver. Ideally, I would set up a transition so that it cross-faded from the end back to the beginning. The overall objective is to run this screensaver as my desktop using Backlight.

I found a program called iScreensaver, but when I made the screensaver and ran it in Backlight, it covered up my whole screen and forced me to reboot.

Any ideas?

You could install the developer tools and write one in Xcode, but that would require learning Objective-C and grasping the required frameworks.

    It's the only idea I have... m.

Try the Screentime app http://www.screentime.com/. Cross-platform and you can make screensavers out of Flash, Quicktime, Photo's and even Powerpoint !

Very easy, too. Not much more than drag and drop.
