Final Cut Pro 5

Yes, I know it will be released next year and I don't know the specs of this future application, but I'm an editor and that's what I'd like to find in FCP 5.0:

- strong support for multicam and live multicam editing

- distributed rendering with xcode.

- better compositing (After Effects-like motion blur)



What do you think about? ;-)

    Mulicam support

    Better MPEG2 compressing(more options ala Cleaner)

    More Audio Inputs(currently 24 tracks is output only)

    More Compositing(Shake Express??)

    More integration with Soundtrack/Livetype

    HDV Initial Support/Pixlet

    Grid Support for Rendering

    well fcp already has multi-channel output, and dvd studio pro 2 has a.pack... what more are you looking for?

    I would like a more professional Audio editing interface as a second window (something like Pro Tools). I always have to export my movie from FCP and import it into Pro Tools (REBOOTING IN OS 9!) to do professional mixing and effects. Perhaps some AUX channels and Buses would be nice. Pretty please!

    Simple multichannel output: you can send one track to one audo channel.

    REAL multichannel: yuu can pan in circle surround all the audio clips and change the position on the 3d sound space via keyframe...

    Xgrid could do this with a simple plug in, couldn't it?
