Hassan: Your link is the same as Powerdoc's.

I quote from the article linked:
    Quote:

Pantani, whose career has been blighted by doping allegations, was found with 10 packets of prescription sedatives.

Maybe it was these sedatives who 'released' the heart attack?

Anyway it's a sad day for cyclism. I also read somewhere that a young cyclist of 25 died of an heart attack too.

Doping is killing the sport and his killing our youth.

Isn´t that a bit of an overreaction?

I would guess that for every person killed by trying to go faster on their bikes hundreds of young people are killed on the road trying to go faster in their cars.

ANd just because a rider dies from a heart attack it doesn´t mean it was because of drugs. When I was most serious about road riding I was diagnosed with cancer. And I surely hadn´t taken drugs. Not of that kind anyway

Sad about Pantani. I liked him as a rider despite I am sure he did use doping.

Well the smiley is perhaps a bit too much. I am just effraid that to many cyclists are conviced that you must take drugs in order to be a champion. Sport is supposed to be healthy, that's not the case when you take drugs.

I expect that the cancer diagnostic was false IMO.
