Why is my MDD not able to sleep?

Hi'



Lately my MDD DP 1Ghz hasn't been able to sleep properly. When I select Sleep it only seems to slow down the fan, but never begins the usual blinking of the power button!



The firmware is updated - its running the latest everything and it seems to happen no matter what apps are running!



What kind of trauma has the poor thing suffered that keeps it from sleeping?

    Have you added any new hardware?



    Some PCI cards aren't compatible with sleep...

    Aah, excellent... just put a Adaptec SCSI card in... with the card out it works!



    Since I have another SCSI adapter (don't ask), and sleep apparently works with it, i'm saved!
