yahoo mail question

what is yahoo's mail server? and what is their smtp server?

i want to know because i want to set up mail to be able to retrieve my yahoo mail as well as my other mail.

    It costs money to get your Yahoo mail using anything other than their web interface. But FWIW the servers are pop.mail.yahoo.com/imap.mail.yahoo.com/smtp.mail.yahoo.com

    Hotmail is using another "protocol" which many email client programs can't work.



    BUT



    You can download a freeware plugin (httpmail plugin 1.35) from Versiontracker which allows you to use MAIL for Hotmail

    I don't use hotmail either



    But my brother does. And he's so freaked out about the inability to download attachement from hotmail using Safari. I then set up Mail with the hotmail plug in to view emails....and works pretty well.
