Yahoo! Chat?

Don't know why, but I think ever since I got the latest version of Safari I've been unable use Y! chat. It logs in, but I get a general chat error followed by some kind of weird refresh loop.



I can't find a mention of this anywhere. If you have the latest version of Safari, I'd appreciate anyone confirming or denying this problem. Or if you know what might be causing it...

    i had this problem too. But then again i was running 10.2.3 with the java update or anything.



    After updating to 10.2.8 and applying the Java update and the Safari update it has been working for me.

    I'm using Mac OS X 10.3.2 and the latest Safari.

    This has nothing to do with software but....



    I used to chat on Yahoo! ages ago...frequently and there would be a group of us who would always meet in one of the rooms. The other night I went back in there for the hell of it just to see what was up and.....is it more or is Yahoo chat now a bunch of trash? I went into numerous different rooms with over 25 people...NOBODY TALKED. All that was to be found in there were porn bots advertising sluts on webcams and stuff. The whole room consisted of that. Does anyone actually got to these places to chat nowadays? Sorry....just pisses me off a bit...

    it is all spam bots, etc now, though at least i still have all my buds from when it wasn't crap that are still on it, that's something, i guess.\ \

    There are still a few places that avoid the spambots, but not many. The Chat works in Safari under 10.3 for me. I just wish Yahoo! would update YIM to include native chat.

    Yahoo chat room Macintosh:1 is where you want to go. there are two yahoo chat clients that work well and have quite a bit of up to date support called (Charla) and (ChitChat). Charla is OSX only and Chit Chat is 9 and X. Booth apps are free.
