webcam for non apple users to use with AIM 5.5

Anyone have any knowledge or experience with webcams for those unfortunate others who do not use Macs? I just purchased an iSight and it rocks. However, my brother is a windows guy and wants to get a webcam to use in conjunction with my iSight. Any experience with firewire windows cams?

    Windows AIM, AFAIK, will work with USB webcams. You don't need a Firewire one. (slightly redundant info...)

    I thought a firewire camera was not needed, but wouldn't it provide a better picture and have audio as well as video because of the speed over USB?
