Apparently, Gay Republicans are critizing Bush's attempts to codify his bigotry into the constitution.

Here's a link to their ad:

Now this is insteresting in itself, but a more pertinent question must be asked. Why would you want to be part of a party whose leadership and majority of constituents hate you?

Do we have any gay Republicans on AI that want to share their reasons?

I would imagine that the gay Republicans out there are affiliated as such for fiscal reasons. Of course, Bush has alienated fiscal conservatives, so I don't know what to expect.

Honestly, I hate the ****er. I'm not voting for him. . . . and I'll be living in Florida in November. Of course, getting me to vote Democrat would be even more of a challenge. So this response might not be the one you're looking for.

Somewhat, but it's true, Bush wants to ban gay marriage, he thinks gay marriage is inherently wrong. In wanting this, he wants to segregate a group of people, disallow them some basic civil rights, and in doing that make them inferior(in a rights sense) to straight couples whose rights aren't limited. He is not alone there either, as millions across the country agree with him. So while there is a little(what could be perceived as )spin in the wording, you can't deny that it's based on the truth.

if you object to my initial statement just say so, being so loopy does nothing for anyone. honestly though, how could you possibly object? bush doesn't want gay marriage, he hates gays. He would never say he hates gays, but obviously he doesn't feel comfortable with them, and thinks they deserve less than the average american, and obviously this belief is rooted in christianity, a religion that looks down on homosexuality quite substantially.

    is that it?

"spare me [your spin, you're so wrong it's not even funny]"

    or are you completely indifferent?

    "spare me[, I don't care]

or are you agreeing with me?

"spare me [the speech, you're preaching to the choir] "

sorry for being obtuse, it is kind of late here you know, and you aren't exactly helping.

There is nothing wrong with Gay marriage just as there is nothing wrong with marrying your favourite furry critter.
