God. Life sucks enough and now this...



Dave Blood hung himself and John McGeoch keeled over...

    Right...couldn't get into the site and trusted another losers take on the lyrics. I knew the band (even...years later had a job interview with Dean...liked my Iggy Pop stuff). Saw them many times and went home with many punk rock girls (thanx)...memories, oh...the memories...



    Guess nobody else cares...but if you want try this...enjoy it while it lasts...

    Well, I feel sad for his family and friends - the suicide of someone you care about is a horrible, horrible thing - and I feel sorry for him for feeling driven to that for whatever reason...but I can't say that the Dead Milkmen were a huge musical influence on me. I guess I have a bit of a soft spot for Beelzebubba though.

    The Dead Milkmen are a truly under appreciated band. I'm sorry for their loss. Had the pleasure of seeing them perform a couple of times and I cherish those memories.

    I saw the last Dead Milkmen show EVER at the Troc in Philly. It was a great show but a sad night to think I'd never see them perform live again. Apparently Dave never got over the bank retiring.

    ...and there doesn't seem to be any Dead Milkmen on iTMS. What a horrible time/event to remember that you never got your CD back from a friend.

    I hate it when the cool rock stars kill themselves. Though I would never figure a guy from the Dead Milkmen to be a tortured soul. It'd be like Gene and Dean Ween signing a suicide pact.

    I saw the Dead Milkmen back in 1990 at thr Roxy in Atalnta.



    Great band.

    A friend told me about this last night when I started quoting lines from "Stuart" to him. I'd had the pleasure of meeting them all after a show on South Street in Philly a while ago. I'll never forget Rodney Anonymous pulling off a sweater adn wearing a New Kids on the Block Tshirt. and screaming:

    "I know that I'm crazy

    I know that I'm nuts

    But at least I admit it

    And I think that takes some guts

    The specialist doesn't care
