The blinking LEDs make the computer faster... everybody knows that. They'd really be the perfect compliment to the speedholes in the new PowerMacs. I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing some little blinkers in the next revision (Q1 '03?).

This kind of childish name-calling and off-topic behavior is really tired.

Everyone else either didn't capitalize the names correctly or didn't spell the names correctly (i.e. Xserve and Xserve RAID.)

A cookie to Nevyn as well.

I'm on a mission to get people to get the names of <a href="http://www.apple.com/xserve"; target="_blank">this</a> right.

has anyone else noticed that Apple seems to be cozying up to a more "Empire" (as in Star Wars) design?

The oval ended vents, very somber, some sci-fi blinking lights thrown in for good measure?

The day Stevo pops up on stage to do the keynote with a couple of Danish rolls on the side of his head, I'll eat a Win XP Professional installation CD.

Hmm, could that be the code/nickname for the Xserve RAID: Deathstar?

No, that's the nickname for a series of IBM's hard drives with phenomenally high failure rates..

The new xserves will be here at beginning of october. An apple rep called my boss to pitch the xserve not once but thrice in one day. They are offering him $500 off if he buys by Sept. 30. Not sure what the specs will be but that will be the release date area. We should be getting some new proc's with them and the raid hopefully will show up then too. Maybe then my boss will buy one.
