Don't think we need such a high bus speed with the current G4. The P4 is very dependent on memory bandwidth. I think you'd see diminishing returns here. DDR should do us well.
Quad data rate is comming in the furture. I don't know how far away. The P4 is "quad pumped" 533/4=133. So, one an actutall clockspeed the G4 is ahead.
However, I think double data rate front side bus is what the G4 needs now.
