It's good that he's getting such recognition for being the CEO of Pixar, and making the right decision in ditching Disney for search of greener pastures.

    Piffft. Renegade.

Steve's not a Renegade, he's just doing what he's done for years. Come on Martha's the renegade, she's been charged with something and might go to jail

True he's been doing it for years, but it's cool that he's finally being recognized for what he does. He's a great CEO, he takes a lot of big risks and it's paying off now.

You should read what the magazine Fast Company has to say about Apple and Steve. I agree with some of it, but a lot of it is very unnecessarily pessimistic. It basically says that Apple is driven by innovation and that sometimes innovating on the tangibles is not as important as business logistic innovation (like direct from Dell). It talks a lot about how once Apple puts something out the door, it moves on to the next thing and has a hard time following up. The article ends on a sour note saying, "The digitial music revolution may be another party Apple started, but they may ultimately be thrown out, yet again."

I think the article misses the main point, that the tech industry is a series of niches, and Apple has identified and has gone after those niches. In the niches where it has been competing for a long time, it is doing well. Hollywood, music, and basically anything creative is usually done on a Mac, with PC's used to churn numbers and sit in uninformed consumer's homes.
