I totally agree. Problem with a substantive discourse is that Apple's policy to not discuss any pending legal matters leave us, their adoring public, no other sources of information. What's a concerned citizen to do?
Perhaps we can investigate ways to check out the allegations ourselves....
The way to check the allegations is to wait for the Apple response to the allegations in the underlying lawsuit.

That assumes Apple WILL respond to the allegations. More and more, Apple has the feel of Microsoft. Too bad. "Think different" seems to have been supplanted with "do whatever it takes". Oh well. It's tough to remain an idealist in this day age...

Apple will respond. They are being sued. If they don't respond, they will have a default judgment entered against them. Apple will respond, however, it will not be through a press release or a posting on a rumor forum messageboard. The response will be in court and the papers will be public record. You, I and anyone else that is interested will be privy to Apple's response to these allegations.
