Pioneer announced new DVD-R/RW drive:

It's in Japanese,sorry.



It'll be availabe in late Oct., but doesn't mention any Mac support. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

    They'll have to market this drive with an MSRP of ~$250 if they want to compete with Sony's $350 multiformat drive.

    A japanese news site says the price will be ~35,000YEN (~$290).
